Wichita is One of Metropolitan Areas with Low Risks for Foreclosure

There are news on foreclosures practically everywhere. As of today, millions of homeowners have lost their homes due to foreclosures and it seems that there is no end in sight to these depressing circumstances.

The three states that have been hit hard by these mortgage troubles are California, Arizona, and Florida. The areas in these cities that have high mortgage risks are:

1. Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, CA
2. Los Angeles-Long Beach-Glendale, CA
3. Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville, CA
4. Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall, FL
5. Oakland-Fremont-Hayward, CA
6. San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos, CA
7. Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA
8. Stockton, CA
9. Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, AZ
10. Bakersfield, CA

But we have to remember that there is another side to this coin. There are actually parts of the country with low risks for foreclosures. These places are where lending companies actually did a good job so that mortgage troubles can be avoided. Here are the 10 metropolitan markets with lowest risk for foreclosure:

1. Dayton, OH
2. Indianapolis-Carmel, IN
3. Austin-Round Rock, TX
4. Omaha-Council Bluffs, NE-IA
5. Wichita, KS
6. Louisville/Jefferson County, KY-IN
7. Charlotte-Gastonia-Concord, NC-SC
8. Raleigh-Cary, NC
9. Gary, IN
10. McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, TX

Again, you will notice that Wichita is part of this “good” list. Truly, Wichita homes are in a good place and are good investments in this economy. A Wichita home is protected from all the troubles that plague the real estate industry in the rest of the country today. It may not be in any of the famous coasts in the nation but it’s still a good place to call home. It has great colleges and universities. Call me for a list of Wichita homes for sale.
