by Lynette Chapman on February 17, 2009

in For Buyers, For Sellers, General Information

President Obama signed the Economic Stimulus bill today. Included in the bill is a First Time Buyer tax credit that is sure to motivate potential buyers. Here are the highlights:

Maximum credit of  $8000

Does not have to be repaid

You can take advantage of this if you haven’t owned a home for 3 years

You must buy a home between Jan. 1 – Dec. 1, 2009

You must live in the home 3 years

This tax credit along with historically low interest rates make it a great time to buy!
