Kansas had 677 homes in some stage of foreclosure in July, according to Web site Realtytrac.
That’s one foreclosure for every 1,784 households.
That’s up 57 percent from the same month in 2007 but still puts Kansas only 37th-worst among the states.
The national rate is one home in some stage of foreclosure for every 484 homes. The worst hit state, Nevada, had a foreclosure for every 106 homes.
